Right before the new year. The population was busy in their preparation for that nights celebration.

The rain has afforded some quiet time at home.

I was humbled by the display of humanity and kindness at this years event. I was fortunate to be a part of it and will stay with me forevermore.

Well the wait is over and the doors have opened for the long awaited re-opening of Santa Monica’s Place Mall. It definitely is an improvement from the old relic of a building.

Crowds were in force to check out the new digs and to apparently wait 30 minutes or more to dine at the mall eateries. Is it worth the trek to brave the crowds… it never is but it’s yet another thing to occupy your time and wallet in Santa Monica.
